Privacy controls
Draft updated September 8, 2026
Local Health uses cookies and similar browser technologies only for defined purposes. Necessary technologies support core functions. Optional analytics and marketing technologies should remain disabled until the user chooses to enable them.
Used for core site and account functions such as secure sessions, authentication, fraud and abuse prevention, CSRF protections, and remembering privacy preferences. Disabling these technologies can prevent protected features from working.
Used to understand general product usage and improve Local Health. Optional analytics should be configured so sensitive appointment, family, symptom, message, or insurance-policy information is not sent to analytics providers.
Used for optional campaign measurement or advertising. Marketing technologies are off by default and should not receive sensitive health or authenticated patient information.
The Local Health banner offers Necessary only, Accept optional cookies, and Manage preferences. Optional categories are not preselected. Users can reopen Cookie settings from the footer and change their choice later.
Local Health should not send appointment details, symptoms, family-account information, provider messages, insurance-policy details, or similarly sensitive information to advertising technologies. Analytics configurations should be reviewed before they are enabled on authenticated healthcare workflows.
Browsers may also allow users to delete or block cookies and site storage. Blocking necessary technologies may prevent sign-in or other protected functions from working correctly.
